In Chicago over the past couple of weeks, more than 70 people have been shot and nearly a dozen killed. Yet the mayor just announced he is seeking re-election. There is simply no accountability in these union-run, single-party cities. Broakland, like Chicago, is hopeless.
And Mayor Brandon Johnson stands up there like a hand puppet, takes the abuse - and offers embarrassing platitudes in response. And Chicagoans keep electing these clowns, decade after decade.… Just like in OAKLAND!
Rajni and Oakland Report are right! Thank you. This is another good reason why we need to rid Oakland of this police commission. This police commission is politically weaponized. What Oakland needs is a group which works with our police for the safety of our Oaklanders, not against. Mindy Pechenuk, for Oakland Mayor 2026
“In over policed neighborhoods like East and West Oakland, where it’s typically deployed, it strikes fear in those residents.” “Reimagined” commission report.
OVER POLICED? With OPD having the thinnest coverage it ever has? LOL!!!!
Anytime, you hear the word “reimagined,” you know it’s only about one thing: Make things that work WEAKER and less effective.
It seems Omar Farmer and his woke compatriots on the police commission would prefer the OPD not use the Bearcat in a gang fire fight with Oakland gangstas.. But rather, send in vans of activist social workers to negotiate with the gangstas to avoid triggering the sensitive gangstas, and those citizens who might be traumatized by the threatening-looking vehicle.
No thought, of course, to Oakland residents who will be substantially safer thanks to the Bearcat, and when the gangstas are locked up, or dead. The police commission only handcuffs the police - and works against the interest of law-abiding Oaklanders.

In the next fireflight, forget the BEARCAT. Send in the Police Commission…
