I've lived in Oakland for 28 years and this is, by far, the best quality news I've seen on Oakland.
Of course, the soggies believe the Oakland Report is biased but that is only because the data and truth show the (1) poor execution of their "leadership" and (2) the fallacies of their "solutions". Easy and quick examples are Quan's mis-management of Occupy Oakland and Sheng missing the deadline for the state grants for retail theft abatement (governor Newsom said he the grants were "lined-up" for Oakland only for Sheng to blow it). Another rumor had it that Nikki Fortunato Bas and her pals didnt want OPD to get one dollar because of equity but I digress...
I know for a fact if any of the soggies had solved any of Oakland's problems, the Oakland Report will give them praise and credit.
The quality and impartiality of your research and articles make it easier for me to recommend the Oakland Report to my neighbors. I cannot say the same for the Soggyside and their propagandists that masquerade as "journalists".
The Forth Estate comes roaring back.
