Get in the mix with the Oakland Report: our first reader social is January 8
Join us for an evening of socializing, networking, and rich discussion of our city with Report writers and readers that want to see Oakland flourish
Dear Oakland Report supporters and subscribers,
On Thursday, January 8 at 6 p.m., we will be hosting our first-ever Oakland Report reader social in the lobby of 2201 Broadway in Oakland. You can register here:
Join us for a free evening of social gathering, networking and discussion with other smart, engaged Oaklanders who want our beautiful city to thrive. The goals of the event are simple:
Create a space for engaged Oaklanders to meet each other and discuss the city’s challenges and promise
Hear and share feedback and ideas about content and overall strategy for Oakland Report and other local media outlets
Meet prospective writers who would like to join our volunteer team and contribute to the success of Oakland Report going forward
In addition to the Oakland Report team, we are expecting representatives from the City Charter Reform Project and the Abundance Network, as well as other local news media outlets.
Join us January 8 to learn and share ways these organizations and others are working to help Oakland realize its true potential as a world-class city.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Please let us know if you have any questions and we look forward to seeing you there!
